For remote teams who are tired of the 4pm sync

Decide in writing.Skip the meeting.

Table a motion, let the right people weigh in on their own time, and close it with a clear record of who agreed, who objected, and why.

The standing orders

Four rules that make writing faster than talking.

Ayes is opinionated on purpose. These constraints are the product, and they’re why motions close in a day instead of a quarter.

  1. Article I

    Motions, not meetings

Every decision starts as a short written proposal with an owner, a deadline, and the options on the table. No calendar invite required.

Templates for hiring, pricing, roadmap and policy calls.

  2. Article II

Objections have to earn their place

A “nay” must name the concern and the change that would flip it. Disagreement becomes something you can act on, not a vibe in a thread.

Average objection resolved in 2 rounds.

  3. Article III

    Quorum, enforced quietly

Choose who must weigh in. Ayes nudges the stragglers, closes the motion on time, and never lets silence pass as consent.

    Slack and email nudges, timezone-aware.

  4. Article IV

A ledger you can actually search

Every closed motion lands in a permanent record with its reasoning attached. New hires read the why, not just the what.

Links back to Linear, Notion and GitHub.

Field notes from teams on record

We used to burn Thursday afternoons on decisions three people cared about. Now the motion closes overnight and the ledger tells the rest of the company what happened.
Odalys Ferreira-KimHead of Operations, Moraine
“The “name your condition” rule on objections changed our culture more than any offsite did.”
Teodor VasquezEngineering Lead, Openpine
“Our onboarding doc is now just a link to the ledger. People finally understand why things are the way they are.”
